I love the subtle (and not so subtle) variations in the colors of yarn dyed in small batches. When I knit with them I want to have fabric that lets the yarn shine but I also want to keep it interesting. For the Loops and Rope Hat and the matching fingerless mitts, reverse stockinette is contrasted with a striking cable pattern that won’t get lost in variegated yarn or make a bold statement in a solid color.
