Pattern description from Weekend Knitting: “The femininity of lace and the ruggedness of Lopi yarn from Iceland are beautifully merged in this casual scarf. It is shown in three colorways because designer Pam Allen and I just couldn’t narrow down our choice to a single color when we looked at the broad and beautiful palette in which this classic yarn is offered. The scarf’s simple lace pattern forms gentle waves along all four edges.”

Yarn: Reynolds Lite-Lopi (100% Icelandic wool; 109 yards / 50 grams): 2 skeins main color (MC) and 1 skein optional contrast color (CC). Scarves shown in book in #428 rose heather (MC) with #421 celery heather (CC), #421 celery heather (MC) with #418 light blue heather (CC), and #418 light blue heather (MC) with #428 rose heather (CC).

Needles:

  • One set straight needles size US 10 (6 mm).
  • One set straight needles size US 10.5 (6.5 mm).
  • One set straight needles size US 11 (8 mm).
  • Change needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
