Lorien Damask Mosaic Crochet
Introducing Lorien Damask – the third in the Damask Series
Lorien brings a softer, more delicate feel to the damask collection, with a graceful pattern that still holds the bold clarity of overlay mosaic crochet.
This design features a 66-stitch repeat, made up of both A and B sections of 33 sts each, allowing for a staggered effect that adds depth and flow. The full repeat spans 84 rows, also with A and B sections and is provided in both charted and written formats for ease of use.
Refined and versatile, Lorien works beautifully as a standalone statement. Vivien and Siren are the other damask inspired patterns that I have designed.
My blanket measures 95 cm x 132 cm (excluding a 3 cm border)
I used:
MC – 2 x 260g Yarnart Flowers Moonlight in colour 3271. 1000m/260g.
CC – 10 x 50g Elle Cottons 4ply in white. 156m/50g. (excluding border)
My MC and CC yarns have a slightly different thickness. This did not look noticeable on the finished blanket.
I used 26 g of left over Flowers and 3 x 50g of Elle Cottons for the envelope border.
