This shawl brings so many cool memories. Most of it was knit while riding on Edinburgh Lothian buses with my knitting buddies and later family. It was a time of a lot of fun and such is this shawl - fun to make…and easy enough to knit on a bus ;-)
The shawl begins at the center and is worked outwards to the border. IT is worked in Garter stitch interrupted by rows of eyelets. The bottom half of the shawl features colorful lines shaped with short rows.

One: approx. 220 cm/86” wide and 51 cm/20” long at center.

Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light (100% Merino; 384m/420y per 100g); 2 skeins (MC).
Madelinetosh Unicorn Tails (100% Merino; 48m/52y per 14g); 5 tails.
Sample shown in Denim (MC) and Silver Fox (CC1), Pop Rocks (CC2), Coquette (CC3), Flashdance (CC4) and Ink (CC5).

3.75 mm/US #5 circular needle (100 cm/40” long).
4.5 mm/US #7 circular needle (for BO only).

3 stitch markers (one in contrasting color for mB), tapestry needle for weaving.

20 sts and 44 rows = 10 cm/4” in Garter st measured flat after wet blocking.
