The Lotus Shawlette is a small shawl/triangle scarf named for its lovely picot lace edging, which resembles the serene petals of a lotus flower. Using two colors, this shawl features blocks of solid color with intermittent stripes throughout. Pair two bold colors for a colorblock statement, or contrasting light and dark colors for a classic contrast striped shawl. Or, if you like a more subtle effect, use two similar shades.

Materials you will need:
180 Yards light fingering weight yarn in Color A
320 Yards light fingering weight yarn in Color B
Size F/3.75mm crochet hook
Stitch Marker
Yarn Needle
Pins for Blocking

You can adjust the yarn weight and hook size if you’d like, to work with the yarn you have. I would recommend using up to a DK weight yarn and size H hook at the largest (this will make a larger shawl rather than a small shawlette/neckerchief), do note that yardage needed and gauge will be different if you do this.

Finished Dimensions using light fingering yarn and size F hook: Width (at widest point) 18” Length (wingspan) 49”
