This scarf was inspired from a wonderfully unique and eccentric friend who sent me a picture and asked if I could make it. I let her know I couldn’t because it was knit, but I could try to replicate in crochet. I found the drop stitch and set out to create this unique looking scarf that she loved more than the knitted one. It has a lovely drape and texture and best of all it is completely customizable to your liking with weight and type of yarn, not to mention you can control the size of the drop in the stitch by using a bigger or smaller second hook.

  • Worsted weight yarn. I used MANOS del URUGUAY cotton stria

Experience Level

  • Advanced beginner: This pattern uses basic stitches that a beginner crocheter would know. The advanced part is using a second larger hook at the same time and working in those large loops.
