This is Loves, a knitted cowl/poncho. We all need a bit more love in our lives and this one is a very cozy project, that I am sure you’ll love wearing. It’s great timing if you need something pretty for Valentines Day. ❤️

As shown here, knitted in the round from a Yarnz2go knit kit with a distinct one by one rib pattern and easy increases which grow the cowl over your shoulders done in colorful stripes. The lower part is knitted with a very textural single color yarn in a moss stitch pattern that leads to an extra wide rib pattern.
You can also use your stash yarn of course, see the yardages needed below.

The written pattern offers two sizes: S/M and L.
S/M as shown 16” tall, 52” bottom circumference, Neckline 26” in circumference.
Size L: 20“ tall, 59“ Bottom circumference, Neckline 26”.

Yarn
C1- 1 Layers cake in 10 portions of 20 yards each in varying colors, textures and yarn weights. 200 yards per cake.
Color way used here: Loves

C2- 2/3 Textured yarn cakes in a textured light fingering weight, 200 yards a cake held with a double strand through out.
Color used here: Silver

US size 5 (3.75 mm) 2 circular needles
1) 16” (41 cm)
2) 29” (71cm) in length.
Stitch marker.
Darning needle or crochet hook for finishing.

Gauge: 16 sts and 24 rows in 4 “ of Stockinette stitch in sport weight.

Techniques used
Knitting and purling in the round, knitting through back loop, increasing, slipping stitches, color changes, stretchy bind off, weaving in ends and blocking.
