Errata: On chart 2, begin with Row 3 as you only have 45 sts on needles.

The appeal of this shawl besides the beauty of cable and lace is starting with the longest edge and decreasing 4 stitches every other row until you finish. Who doesn’t love a project that gets shorter as you go instead of longer! The border is added by picking up all your edge stitches and working a 6-stitch cable, sideways. The border brings it all together and is a very attractive feature to the total look of the shawl. “Lovina” features a very easy lace/cable repeat and is done with little difficulty. There are charts and also written directions for those who love each. As a bonus I have added a scarf pattern using the same cable and lace pattern stitch. The border is worked in seed stitch.
