I love to wear triangle shawls with the point in the front. Sometimes, I just want the point, and not the wings of the shawl hanging forward.

This shape provides warmth and protection from the elements, and also allows more freedom of movement.

The cowl starts out knitted flat, in stockinette then is joined in the round. From there I’ve added some simple textured stitches that show off the variegated nature of hand-dyed yarns.

Knits4Comfort has dynamic colorways that are very compelling. The sample in the pattern was knit with the Northern Lights colorway.

The final dimensions are 19.5” neck circumference and 15.5” down the center spine.

Thank you to the knitters who tested the pattern, Anne, Betsy, and Susan.

Thank you to Katie, aka theparsleythief for the excellent graphic design of the pattern.
