This shawl was designed exclusively for the Knitting Goddess July 2018 Shawl club but is now available to all.
A small triangular shawlette, to be worn as a scarf, combines a modern textured eyelet stitch and a traditional lace border, inspired by the painted cityscapes of LS Lowry. These often featured women in bright red shawls- soft, comforting urban armour against the soot and cold of the industrial landscape. The colours chosen for this shawl were influenced by the glow of the red shawls and the black of the soot- wear as your own urban armour, softness in a modern world.
