FREE TUTORIAL for Crocheted LUCET-CORD
An old technique, maybe as far back as to the Vikings!

The Lucet, also called Knitting-Fork, or Chain-Fork, produce a strong, non-stretching braid, worked using the fingers (More info; Search Lucet in your browser).

All kind of materials can be used, thin and thick!
The best is; The cord comes out squared, with lots of stitch-loops to insert the hook in!
Perfect for my Cord-Soles!

Making heavy cord with twine and a Lucet, is a finger-killing task!
So I found a way to crochet the cord instead, saving the fingers for a lot of pain!

The Lucet method has become my favorite for cord-soles.
Cord-Soles are joined to the bottom of all my slippers made for street wear!
