A beautiful open and lacy motif shawl worked in square motifs (and triangles) which are joined as you go.

Though this shawl has a very open pattern, it is still really warm due to the properties of the yak yarn.

Requires 5 skeins for outer rounds of motifs (amethyst), 3 skeins for inner rounds of motifs (goldenrod).

This shawl is made from 36 square and 9 triangle motifs.
