This pair of baby booties has been inspired by my mum, Luisa. She finds very useful a strap joining the instep to the ankle, so do I.

The pattern has written instructions and charts.

Gauge:
2.5 mm hook: 24 dc x 12 rows / 3 mm hook: 22 dc x 12 rows. 4” (10 cm).

Yarn: 60 (65, 70, 75) metres / 66 (71, 77, 82) yards of Bolero by Katia or Wollmeise 80/20 in True Love shade yarn or any other fingering/sport yarn.

It’s possible to use cotton, wool, alpaca or any other material, but I would recommend to check your gauge and also to use a yarn that doesn’t grow very much like cotton.
