This is your very basic hat. I use this hat in my beginner’s class as their very first project. Named L’umbilico for the optional little top knot. Written for sizes newborn on up to a big headed adult.

Rolled brim, all you do is knit and knit and knit until you get to the top where you begin decreasing.
