This pattern is available in print for £2.99.

Required: Three balls of snowflake colour, six balls of background colour. For a different look, you could make the entire shawl in one colour and you can use just one hexagon motif instead of three.

The key to this design is effective blocking which will bring out the lace to it’s best. Gently steam block individual motifs before seaming and then wet block the entire piece at the end. The blocking and seaming may seem daunting and time consuming, but spending a little extra time and care with these stages will really enhance your finished project.

This pattern was first published in Crochet Now magazine in 2016.
