The Luna Azul Shawlette is a crescent-shaped lace shawlette knit from the bottom up, beginning with a Japanese lace knitting pattern as the border, and graduating to an all-over triangular lace pattern in the body. I knit it out of about 500 yards of fingering weight yarn, although anything from lace weight through sport weight would also work well. The shallow crescent shape is formed by using short rows in the body of the shawl. My shawlette is 6 feet in length and 19 ½ inches at its center, deepest point. Full written instructions, row counts, as well as charts are included in the pattern.
