As this pattern represents my halfway point in my year long challenge to design socks for the UK Sock Knitters Lunar KAL I am offering this pattern for free.

This sock pattern is offered in both cuff down and toe-up versions - please ensure you download the correct version for your needs.

This sock features a fun cable and lace pattern, set off by a gusset heel. The straightforward lace pattern gives just a hint of texture and openness to the cable. I believe that the pattern is unisex but if the man in your life objects to lace (try calling it openwork instead) then this could easily be omitted and the cable knitted plain without causing offense to manly sensitivities.

I hope you have as much fun knitting these as I did.
