The meaning of Lunita is to be a communicator, logical, and energetic - all things I wish I had more of in my life. It also means “little moon” which suits it perfectly with all the color changes that reflect the various tones you can see in our beautiful moon.
This top-down sweater features an easy to memorize stitch pattern which results in a visually interesting and easy to wear sweater. It is worked seamlessly in one piece with sleeves being held on waste yarn and picked up later. The sleeves are full length with decreases that are barely visible to the eye. Designed with positive ease so it’s comfortable for movement and perfect for layering.
For the children’s sizes, I used sport weight, DK weight and fingering yarns (held double). It was the perfect stashbuster. I joined some of the leftovers together into a cake using the Russian join and spit-splice method while others I left to coordinate and match the colors together.
