9/22/2010 I have just finished the first mitten with Patons Merino wool, and the gauge is very different than with Malabrigo. With Patons Merino (3 ply compared to 1 ply of malabrigo) my gauge is 5sts and 7 rows = 1” (worked in the round). I used .9oz of wool per Patons Merino mitten and only .7oz of wool for the Malabrigo mittens.
