Pattern description from Interweave Knits, Winter 2004: “Kathy Zimmerman has used a soft angora-wool yarn to transform the classic cabled sweater into a comfortable garment that’s as perfect with a skirt and earrings as it is with jeans and boots. Kathy chose a simple drop-shoulder shape and a mock turtleneck for uninterrupted cable lines. With the same cable pattern throughout, you’ll soon memorize the chart. If you can work one cable, you can work them all!”

Notes from Interweave Knits, Winter 2004:

  • “Work all increases and decreases 1 stitch in from edges. Work all increases as if to purl (M1 pwise; see glossary, page 119).”
  • “After working the set-up row once to establish the chart pattern, repeat Rows 1-24 for cable pattern; do not repeat set-up row.”
