Luxardo is a simple go-with-everything sweater, designed for easy summer knitting and wearing. I love the subtle color shifts in O-Wool’s balance yarn, and the classic detail here is perfect to show both the yarn and a bit of texture off beautifully.

The sweater features lots of stockinette mixed with simple textured stripes - worked in deep bands on bottom and narrow bands up top.

Visible shoulder seams, a delicate ribbing that plays with the first row of texture, and a shaped collar were the extra little details that I couldn’t resist, but overall this is a straightforward wardrobe basic that should match almost anything you want to toss on this summer.

Notes are given in the pattern for modifying Luxardo in a number of ways - length, width, collar shaping, and stripe placement are all easily altered for your shape or preference. Sleeve instructions are given for short, 3/4 length as shown, or long sleeves.

The body is worked from the bottom up in the round to armhole. Front and back are then separated and worked flat to shoulder. Once shoulders are seamed, sleeve stitches are picked up around armhole and knit in the round to cuff. Lastly, collar stitches are picked up and knit in the round with short row shaping to deepen the front.

Sample is knit in the Pomegranate colorway, which due to a dyehouse blip, will be available again later in July. However, O-Wool has lots of other colors in stock right now though! SEE HERE
