This is the December kit pattern for the 2011 Shakespeare in Lace Shawl Club. (Pattern will be available to the general public after March 1, 2012 - please send me a P.M. if you’d like to be on a notification list for that release).

This laceweight pattern is knit with a center square featuring lightning/storm motifs. The outer borders of thistles and trees are then picked up and knit in the round from the edges of the center square. The original sample was knit with just under 1200 yards, but my test knitter required just over 1200 yards. Finished size is approximately 50 x 50 inches blocked.
