Maeve Stitch an original stitch pattern repeat by Mel Harrison
A simple yet pretty 4 stitch repeat pattern, perfect for blankets, scarves and clothing.
Row 1 is your foundation row.
Row 2 and 3 only are repeated.

CFDC: Chainless foundation double crochet.
CH: chain
SC: Single Crochet
HDC: Half double crochet
DC: Double crochet
Skp: Skip

Material needed:
Yarn of your choice and corresponding hook size for your ply.
The samples shown are done in 8Ply cotton with a 3.5mm hook. Please use the hook you would normally use for the yarn ply as we all crochet with different tensions.
Gauge: There is no gauge for this pattern

One of my testers pointed out the scollop to the edge may not be good for those wanting to make facewashers or other square edge items that won’t have a border added. She found changing the ch1 for a ch3 at the start of row 3 gave her the straighter edge she was after.
