Arriving home from walking my dog, having juggled phone, keys and retractable dog lead in a snow storm, I thought… I know what I need for tomorrow’s walk…
Once my fingers thawed, I set to work on my Magic Mittens and here’s the result.
Wear one up and one down for texting and talking. Pop out a thumb to reel the dog in and keep fingers snug and toasty. Roll both mitten tops back for driving or looking stylish while shopping.

The mittens are ‘my size’ - average women’s size. The pattern can simply be adjusted by changing the hook size and yarn. I made man size using the same pattern, yarn and an 8mm hook. The mittens can be tried on at all stages and simply adjusted to suit your hand length.
