Magic Mystery Dog (North Dakota)
Rachel Wilson loves ganseys, beads, history, & traditions. She told me that all these came together as she became immersed in researching North Dakota. Her sock tells the story of the “Magic Mystery Dog” which is what ND First Peoples called the first horse they saw. Adapted/inspired by antique beaded First Peoples work, her sock uses traditional and historical symbols - including the dog!
