Why is this a ‘’Magic“ skirt?

Well…… just check out what it turns into when the days get cold! A gorgeous lacy cape to keep those little necks and shoulders warm!

PATTERN includes over 20 detailed photos of working procedure and description “step by step”. A beginning crocheter/knitter could easily follow it.

Straight needles 3 ½ , crochet hook 4 mm, tapestry needle
Merino wool or Merino wool mixtures for waist/neck.
Thin yarn for needles of size 2-3 ½ mm for skirt. You can use 100% Akryl or Merino wool mixtures as sock yarn.
I used material : 50% Merino/50% Akryl called “Merino” for the waist and 100% akcrylic.
Quantity – 1-2 yarn ball (length of 50 g of yarn = 105 m) for waist, 1-2 yarn ball of different color for skirt (length of 50 g of yarn = 330 m) – about 18 cm of length.
The quantity of both kinds of yarn depends of child size. My daughter is very thin.
I recommend a soft, flexible yarn, closely spun, for warmth and comfort for the waist.
Size: From age 1 and up

You can use this pattern also for a cute “magic” summer TOP, if you will use thin cotton yarn for crochet recommended for crochet hook of size 1.5-2.5 mm.
You have to use TWO threads for knit part - needles of size 3.5 mm and ONE thread for crochet part using crochet hook of size 2.5 mm.
