Some things you may not know about Manatees:
They’ re the only aquatic mammal that is an herbivore; Full-grown manatees can weigh up to 3,500 pounds; They look like absolutely adorable floating rocks.

Slow moving, surprisingly graceful sea cows - a gentle giant of the ocean. What’s not to love about these guys?

You can make your own lovable intelligent sea potato with this crochet amigurumi pattern. Both a five-page full color PDF and an additional (printer-friendly) text file are included in your instant download. Sizes may vary, but a finished manatee is about 7 inches from snout to tail.

To complete this pattern I suggest you have:
• Grey worsted weight yarn
• G/7 4.50MM crochet hook
• One (1) pair of 6MM safety eyes
• Scissors (for cutting yarn)
• Needle & thread (for sewing the fins, snout, and tail)
• Pins (optional, for positioning pieces for sewing)
• Fiberfill stuffing (to make your manatee delightfully squishy)
• Iceberg lettuce (manatees need plenty of leafy greens to eat, you know!)

Enjoy!
