It’s been such a long winter; the only color I see from my window is my magnolia tree, standing between the white snowdrifts and gray sky. To honor this evergreen, I designed the Magnolia Leaf Shawl. The shawl is fashioned in an all-over lace pattern with ripple stitches inside each “leaf”. The shawl is crescent shaped due to extra increases within the pattern and a center panel. The ripple stitches create a pointed finish which needs no additional edging. With greater yardage, the shawl’s size can be increased by repeating the main charts.

This pattern is charted.
