The beret is knit in the round, starting at the top of the head and increasing down to the bottom edge. The US size 1 (2.25 mm) needles are only required for the beret (not the mitts), and a yard of smooth waste yarn is also necessary. Finished beret to fit head circumference of approximately 20-23” (51 - 58.5 cm).

The mitts are knit flat and will require a cable needle and 14 buttons that are 1/2” (12 mm) in diameter. Finished mitts should fit hand circumference of approximately 6.5” (16.5 cm, size small) or 7.5” (19 cm, size medium), with a finished length of approximately 8.75” (22 cm).
