Maiar is a hip-length cardigan with intricately cabled sleeves and mirrored cable fronts. Maiar is from the root ‘excellence’ in JRR Tolkein’s elvish tongue, Quenya.

Yarn: Tempting Ewe Yarns Luxe Aran 90% Superwash merino wool, 10% Mulberry silk; 270 yards per 125 gram skein; 45, 5, 6, 7, 7 skeins. Sample knit in Lórellen.

Needles: US #6/4.00mm circular needle, 32 inches or longer (larger sizes may prefer a longer needle)

Set of US #6/4.00mm double pointed needles or preferred method for knitting in the round
