Make a Million Shawl
This pattern gives a shawl recipe with many possible variations, including how to do yarn-overs, a ruffle, beads, etc. Once you make one, you’ll have more and more ideas for others! It is perfect for beginning knitters who are ready to expand their repertoire.
The shawl may be knit in any weight or any type of yarn. Therefore, yardages will vary. You will likely need about 400-500 yards of bulky-weight yarn, 600-800 yards of sport to worsted-weight yarn, and 1000 yards of fingering-weight yarn.
No worries about yardage on this shawl; if you run out of yarn, simply buy more yarn of the same weight and add it on. A different border will make it look even better! Use your scraps!
Use a needle about one to two sizes larger than the yarn calls for.
