After spending a lovely holiday looking out over the waters of Port Mahon in Menorca, I wanted to make a shawl inspired by the constant movement of the water. The heavy edging of this shawl makes it flow and drape and ripple, while the simple centre shows off the colours of the yarn. As you stitch, you’ll find the ends curling around to wrap you up in a silky hug.

This pattern uses two 50g skeins of Dupioni. I strongly recommend using a very smooth wooden hook for working with silk to ensure smooth stitching.

Gauge: Rows 1-4 should measure 20cm across.
