I have a skein of Malabrigo yarn that I wanted to make into a hat for my daughter. I usually knit hats without a pattern, but I’ll be teaching a friend to knit one of these and I don’t want to lead her astray, so I made a test version first and jotted down some notes about what I did. I think adding embellishments of your own is where you can really get creative and make this your own. I want to make another version with tone-on-tone embroidery.
