Do you have precious lace yarns left from your other projects, with not enough yardage for a shawl, but too much to let it waste? Do you like the drape of lace weight yarn, but don’t want to start a project that takes forever to finish on tiny needles and thousands of stitches in each row?
This is your pattern then: Malombre is knitted with two strands of lace
weight yarn. The tender dynamics of the shawl is given by the color change of one strand at a time in an easy and elegant stockinette background. The pattern is so easy to personalize: use different shades of one color, or chose contrasting colors for more drama, play with the width of the stripes or just use more colors.
