Mitten: 7” circumference of palm, 10.5” bottom of mitten to top.

Hat: Jamieson’s Shetland Heather (100% Shetland wool: 92 m/50 g):#343 ivory, 3 skeins each;
Mitten: Jamieson’s Shetland Double Knit (100% Shetland wool: 75 m/25 g): #343 ivory, 3 skeins each.

Needles
Hat-- Size 8 (5.5 mm) 16” circular (cir) and double-pointed (dpn):
Mitten--Size 4 (3.0 mm) 12 “ cir and dpn. Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Gauge
Hat: 14 sts and 16 rows = 4” over patt st using size 9 (5.5 mm) needles;
Mitten: 26 sts and 28 rows = 4” over patt st using size 4 (3.0 mm) needles.
