Man Needs Hat
My friend graciously gave me a skein of Brooklyn Tweed Shelter, and a minute I saw that, it struck me: this would be perfect for a man’s hat, and my DH needs a hat!
So, I made a simple, knit and purl hat, nothing fancy but perfectly suitable for my man.
Initially these notes were available as a Blind Knit-A-Long.
- 1 skein of Brooklyn Tweed Shelter or approx. 140 yards (128 meters) of any worsted yarn
- US 3 3.25 mm circular needles or DPN’s
- US 4 3.5 mm circular needles or DPN’s
- Stitch marker
- Tapestry needle
Sizes: one size fits most
Finished measurements: approx. 22” (56 cm) Head Circumference.
Gauge: 18 sts and 28 rounds per 4” 10cm in stockinette stitch with larger needles after blocking – save time by checking the gauge :)
Please note that I knit loosely so you may need a different needle size or different yarn weight to obtain the gauge.
