Manila - newborn romper

the pattern is for a baby romper made to fit a newborn

it is meant to be used as a photo prop, yet it can be also worn with a fitted diaper
(it will not fit over a cloth diaper though)

it is knit FLAT and the edges have to be sewn together.

please, make sure you are able to obtain the necessary gauge before you get started - GAUGE IS IMPORTANT!

Gauge 4 in / 10cm – 20 stitches

You will need a skein of DK yarn. if you would like a lighter and daintier romper you can use lighter yarn (you just will have to use larger size knitting needles).
You can use any type of yarn. You just have to make sure you get the right gauge (you will need to make a swatch and probably you will have to try several different knitting needle sizes).

Then, you will also need a sewing/darning needle and a stitch marker.

you will need a crochet hook to - to make the ties. they are made with simple chain crochet.
