A ribbed, simple hat/beanie with a good fit. Use light fingering or fingering weight yarn, depending on your gauge (loose or tight). The hat can easily be downsized for child/toddler if you want to.

You need approximately 50 grams of yarn (less than 120 meters), a 3 mm circular needle and 3 mm straight needles for the decreases, four markers where one should be a different colour from the others (to mark the beginning of round).

This is merely my notes for a hat I’ve been knitting for my boyfriend, father, friends-not really a pattern. You will have to try it on to see if it´s too loose or too tight. I would recommend wool yarns or wool/silk yarn, yarns with some elasticity is the best for this hat although the ribbing makes the fit easily adapted for different yarns and heads.
