A 1940s pattern published in Jane Waller’s book. Instructions are given for 38” only!
Classic waistcoat knitted in 3 pieces with borders sewn on after construction.
Pattern calls for 4 ply yarn with no other specification, and simply states 5oz of both main and contrasting colour required. So yardage stated here is approximate and generous for the 38”.
Length at back is 18.5” incl border.
Gauge on pattern 8sts to 1” on 3mm
