Meet the Ray Family! Charles, Martha and Little Sunny are cute little manta rays knit entirely in the round with no seaming. They can be used as finger puppets or pencil toppers or just be cute little buddies. The pattern includes many step-by-step photos.

Little Sunny is knit with fingering weight yarn and 2.0mm needles.

Martha is knit with sport weight yarn and 2.5mm needles.

Charles is knit with worsted weight yarn and 3.0mm needles.

A small amount of white fingering weight yarn and 2.0mm needles are also required if you wish to knit the eyes for the 2 larger sizes.

The rays are small circumference projects knit in the round. 2 circular needles are particularly well suited to this project as the stitches for the “top” of the ray are on the first needle and the stitches for the “bottom” of the ray are on the second needle. But you could use double pointed needles or magic loop if you prefer.

Only very small amounts of pink, white and grey yarn are required to knit each ray.

If you want to call your little buddy a stingray, that’s OK too!
