I love autumn – rainy and windy days, sometimes a little sun shining over colorful leaves. But I need mitts to keep my hands warm while enjoying the beauty of the nature. So I wanted to knit mitts with autumn leaves on them. I got inspired by Estonian lace patterns and designed lacey red mitts with maple leaves.

Knitting stitches used:
k – knit
p – purl
m1 – make 1
ssk – slip 2 stitches as if to knit, then knit those 2 stitches together
k2tog - knit two together
yo – yarn over
sk2p - slip 1 stitch, knit two together, pass slipped stitch over
