These socks were knitted with hand-dyed, handspun 2-ply wool blend (blended with icicle for a bit of sparkle). The yarn was spun on a drop spindle.

The pattern is written for 5 dpns, but any sock knitting technique may be used. I prefer using a 9” circular needle when knitting socks. I simply place stitch markers to divide the stitches as they would be if using dpns. I use a different stitch marker for my beginning of round. I learned to knit socks on dpns so I feel very comfortable using (and designing) patterns specifically for dpns.
