Baby dress and matching bonnet. Small amount of ribbon will also be used.
The dress has a lace arrowhead pattern around the bottom of the skirt and knitted mock smocking around chest.
The bonnet uses the same pattern and mock smocking.
Simple crochet edge finish around sleeves , collar and bonnet.
This booklet would be from the mid to late 1930’s to early 1940’s and suggests to use wire in the edge of the bonnet. For safety of the baby I would not advise using wire. I can not suggest an alternative. It may not even be necessary to stiffen the edge of the bonnet.
