This is a practical hat disguised as a fashion accessory! The cabled band is knit with yarn held double to keep the ears nice and warm, while the upper section is knit single-stranded for excellent drape.

The optional edging completely encases the bottom edge of the brim, giving the hat extra structure and comfort with a professional finish.

Pattern includes chart and written instructions for the cable.

Yarn: The Sanguine Gryphon ‘Gaia DK’, 1.9 oz, 200 yds, 45% cashmere, 55% silk, 2 skeins

Needles: US 6 (4 mm) dpns, optional US 6 circulars, 16” or 20”

Gauge: 26 sts and 32 rows/4” (10 cm) in stockinette st

Finished Sizes: to fit head size 20 (22)“
