The lovely lace panel and gauze-accented neckline of Tabetha Hedrick’s “Elinor Dashwood” made me weak with desire to make a crochet version of the sweater. Here, with “Marianne Dashwood,” I emphasized those elements a little more than in the delicate original. The neckline is deeper and the lace panel is more prominently etched, but the absolutely perfect fitted shape of the garment remains the same. Either one will make you feel feminine and alluring, and make you want to picnic with a parasol in a flowery meadow.
