Marigold is perfect for when you want the coverage and silhouette of a shawl without all of the fuss of styling one. Thanks to a unique construction you won’t have tons of extra fabric around the back of your neck and shoulders, allowing you to slip into your jacket and stay super cozy and comfortable. It has a center cabled lace panel for a bit of lovely texture and squishy garter stitch for the main body of the cowl. It’s the perfect quick knit to use that special single skein or combine several skeins for an extra cozy, oversized piece.
The design is fresh and uses some fun techniques to keep things interesting. It starts with a traditional shawl construction, joining in the round once it’s large enough. Finishing everything off with a fluffy tassel.

Skills used: knitting flat, knitting in the round, simple lace, I-cord cast on, bind off and border.
