The Marina Cowl is part of the Sun & Fog Winter 2021 Collection of knit and crochet patterns by Bay Area local designers. These ocean-themed accessories were designed to inspire makers to create a little something special for themselves after the holiday rush. All patterns in the collection have a size that uses just 100g of yarn to guarantee a quick and affordable project.

The Marina Cowl is a sideways knit cowl featuring simple lace and icord edging. An offset wavy lace pattern is worked across the cowl, mimicking the undulating waves of the Pacific Ocean. The cowl is knit flat sideways beginning with a provisional cast on and ending with the Three-Needle Bind-Off technique to connect the two ends. Two sizes are included in the pattern: One, a small single loop for a close fit, and two, a longer circle meant to wrap around the neck. The pattern instructions include details for working the lace, icords, provisional cast-on and Three-Needle Bind-Off techniques used in the pattern.
