You can knit this using any super bulky yarn - Plymouth Mega Encore would be great for additional wool blend options! This is pretty straightforward once you get the hang on the pattern, but is more advanced than a beginner or easy level, due to yarn overs and seaming (if you use straight needles rather than circular, which this pattern uses).
