To name this design, with its fluttering hem and delicate styling, anything other than the Spanish word for butterfly would have been an injustice. All in Tunisian crochet lace, you will love the way this design flows from your fingers with stunning lace, usually only seen in knitted designs. All you’ll need to finish this gorgeous masterpiece is one 1000-yard hank of Ivy Brambles Romantica Merino lace (or other comparable laceweight yarn) and a size K afghan hook, with nylon extension (or size needed for gauge).

Tunisian crochet is very easy. It’s the easiest form of crochet to teach and learn. If you know how to do a single crochet, you already know how to do Tunisian crochet since it is basically single crochet, worked in an “assembly line” process rather than one at a time. Knitters and crocheters alike will love Tunisian crochet.

Since this design is worked top down, I didn’t see the little angels until someone later pointed it out to me. So adorable that my daughter is wrapped in angels!
