The Marius Fingerless Mittens are a modern take on the well-known and loved Marius pattern. Knit in two muted shades and embellished with a subtle embroidery in duplicate stitch, these mittens play with the tradition and give an up-to-date feel to a great classic.

Notes:

You will work with max. 2 colours at any time. Great project for beginners in stranded colourwork!

The pattern is onesize. You can adjust the size by using thicker/thinner yarn and needles.

The sample was knit in Holst Samarkand, using the following colours:

  • 50 g Holst Samarkand Lagoon (Main Colour)
  • 10 g Holst Samarkand Platinum (Contrast Colour)
  • 1 - 2 m Holst Samarkand Cherry wine (Contrast Colour 2)

These colours can be substituted by Holst Tides Mares, Seagull, and Chianti.
